About this site

I love tv, but I can’t get into tv today. I have all the usual tv snob complaints. I hate streaming! You have to wait years before a new season! There are no more holiday episodes! No more episodes, period! I wish tv was like it was 20 years ago. So maybe I should just watch tv from 20 years ago.

This is mid-2000s tv blog I never had a chance to write. It will be updated in real time as if I had been blogging back then. I can’t watch episodes if they haven’t been released. I’ll have to wait a full summer to find out what’s in the hatch. If I miss an episode, I better record it on my imaginary Tivo. If my imaginary Tivo with 28 hours of storage capacity is full, I better delete some stuff!

This is a chance to revisit some of my old favorites, since this is the era when I first started paying attention to tv. But it’s also a chance to explore the culture of the 2000s in depth. The fashion, the ads, the cringe, the great, the terrible, and the strange. We’ll cover it all. Get ready for a lot of body dysmorphia, unprocessed 9/11 trauma, and great television.
